Cafe Melange at Julius Meinl, Southport Avenue

so this is what my mom ordered at Juliu Meinl - it was to die for! layers of milk, espresso, and foam - mmmm.

Anthropologie windows at Southport Avenue!

naturally, I had to scope out the competition...I loved how they used picture frames, color, pattern, and scale in their massive window(s)!!

the DELICIOUS pecan-encrusted trout my mom made a few days ago!!

favorite color combo EVER + new items

citron + royal blue = MY FAVORITE COMBO EVER
(this is at J. Crew right now...especially wearable if the sickly-yellow/green hue of citron doesn't flatter your complexion, since it is relegated to the shorts!)

so on my breaks I try on clothes ... these are three new additions to my closet that I absolutely LOVE!
(all Anthropologie, sale ofcourse)

my workplace - the anthropologie art room!

hot glue bubbles

 the endless stacks of cardboard

...and the power tools!

very similar to a black and white polka-dot romper I picked up at Goodwill a few days ago!

 so 70s

 probably my favorite color combination

 love the unique color blocking

 such a great 40s silhouette!

the glamourai is so inspirational

anthropologie window #1 - my first collaboration as a visual display intern!

theme = patterns
materials = cardboard, hot glue, and spray paint
SUCH AN AMAZING FIRST WEEK!!!

my PAINT PALETTE (and scraping it clean...)

oil painting was definitely an adventure last semester! so sad to scrape my palette...but at least I have visual evidence of the crazy colors I mixed.

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SHIRT

As everybody knows, I LOVE everything and anything sparkly or sequined (I've acquired several such pieces from resale / vintage shops...like a moth to a light). This shirt, worn by the creator of the blog This Time Tomorrow , is spot on and just fantastic.

p.s. I forgot to mention that my last post was the 100th post of eclectic eclaire!

such a strangely COOL approach to drawing the female figure

'a woman from the inside out'

my friend Emma introduced me to this incredibly documented drawing...what if this was how we were taught to draw everything?
